Custom turned balusters and custom moulding come together to form the balusters of the widow's walk

  

Completed Project

The widow's walk was shipped to Napa, where the contractor snapped it together together and painted it.
The balustrade is inserted into a newell box using a mortise and tennon joint.   Isn't that a stately newell?
The entire job is manufactured at the Blue Ox Mill and is sent in prefabricated segments to be reassembled at the site.   Widow's walks are normally found on Victorians near seaports. Wives were expected to watch from the widow's walk until their husband's ship returned.
