The Simpson-Vance House

The Simpson-Vance house was built in 1892 by Mister James Simpson, a skilled carpenter who had 16 children.  It is one of the area's finest examples of Queen Anne architecture. It was completely renovated in 1992.  Among other things, the Blue Ox provided custom gutter, balusters, newels, carved gingerbread, and sawn arrowsmiths.
